Alex joined Blackfinch in 2018 to launch our multi-asset investment proposition and has built deep knowledge around the needs of financial advice businesses and tailored investment solutions accordingly. Alex was promoted to Group Commercial Director in 2022, working closely with the CEO and other business leaders to drive opportunities, steer corporate priorities and help achieve Blackfinch’s strategic vision. Alex holds the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management, Investment Advice Diploma, and CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. As a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, Alex has been recognised as an influential next-generation UK investor, winning the Investment Week Trailblazer award and featuring twice in Citywire's "Top 30 under 30.
Gareth Deacon
Head of Multi-Asset
Gareth joined Blackfinch in 2018 to launch our multi-asset investment proposition and is lead manager for the multi-asset portfolio range. Gareth has over 17 years’ experience in investment management, with expertise in the construction and management of mainstream investment products for clients and intermediaries.
He holds the Diploma in Investment Compliance as well as certificates in Bond & Fixed Interest Markets, ESG Investing and Private Client Investment Advice and Management. He is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has achieved Chartered Wealth Manager status.
Josh Clayton
Product Specialist
Josh acts as the primary champion and subject matter expert for Blackfinch's range of listed investment portfolios. His role comprises product messaging, competitive analysis, product training, investment updates, client interaction and facilitating and coordinating investment-related information flow both internally and externally. With over 9 years' experience in financial services, previous roles focussed on investment analysis and high-net worth client management. He has achieved various exam certificates, including the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
